Bent Charters is a family run and kid friendly team! Captain Lance Brooks and his Mate Heather Brooks have fished these waters most of their lives. They love what they do and it shows. Knowing the privilege of being part of your vacation time Bent Charters does everything possible to make it the best trip for you. They take pride in building relationships with many customers who charter year after year.
Everything you need ton bring in the fish is supplied. No extra charge for things like live bait or fuel surcharge. No worries about a fishing license because it is taken care of too. All you need is drinks (no glass) and a snack ...even the iced down coolers are provided. After coming in the crew will filet and bag the catch of the day. Crew works for gratuity and rule of thumb is generally 10-20% of trip. This is not included in trip pricing but appreciated for working hard for you.

We met on a boat and have been together on one ever since. Fishing is our first love in life. When not working we are fishing for pleasure. Enjoying the salt and freshwater catches in all of our travels. You will not be disappointed with this team, we aim to please!

Originally from Texas fishing the Gulf of Mexico from its coast Lance knew he would spend his life on the water. His grandfather was his mentor and fishing buddy. Coming to Florida after time in Louisiana he settled in Madeira Beach and then Treasure Island of Saint Petersburg.

Born and raised in Tampa, Florida gives James a lifetime of experience on our waters! At the age of 10 years old he was already doing overnight trips and bringing in the big ones. By the age of 15 he was earning his wages on the water. A Captain at age 18 he set his course! He works hard to keep you on fish and will have you smiling the whole trip. Proud to call him son.

One of his favorite fish to chase down is the ever so powerful and awe striking Tarpon. Fishing many tournaments for this beast he is a proven winner and one of the best. Fishing these waters for over 20 years his book of numbers isnt lacking in any way.
